My guess is we see a 2/10ths performance improvement 0-60 and maybe 3-4/10ths in the 1/4 mile for the 09 7AT. Fuel mileage-wise, my prediction would be 1-2mpg overall.

I agree. There is plenty of room for improvement. Especially starting with 3rd gear.

I am still trying to comprehend if the 5AT is worth modding vs. just staying a year and a half more with the car and upgrading to a 7AT, or possibly 2010 - 7MT.

I doubt there will be a 7SMG when nissan has just spent R&D money on a 7AT. That 7AT is going to be used in alot of there cars.

Sure, just make sure it's something you can remove and take with, otherwise you won't get the value out of it. Watch them release a dual clutch 7AT in 2010...lol, that would really be great... I'm sure they have something significant planned.

I wonder if they're gonna put the dual-clutch in the 370Z.

that might make the Z a little too expensive (that's what killed the 300ZX). I think they will just do a 6MT and 7AT in the Z.

They could make the Double-Clutch available on 2010 models as an option of.. lets say $2500. People will pay it, similiar to the 2005 M3's SMG.
