VDC off equals a different exhaust tone????????

If you turn your fog lights on, you get a quicker acceleration too.

Well I'll take a guess with VDC off, it could trigger more aggressive settings on the ECU causing the exhaust note to change ever so slightly. I doubt it but I’ll test it out, only because it gives me an excuse to do 2 hard accelerations… The 2nd run might sound different only because the car warmed up…

But I’m sure I’m going to need to jump in the hearing aid group buy to hear any difference.

could possibly hitting that vdc off be creating more agrressive, near redline driving habits? that will cure a wimpy, 2500rpm shifting exhaust note

Damn, I can't use a hearing aid with my exhaust, I might blow my eardrums out. LOL.

Yea, this all sounds pretty bogus to me. I highly doubt turning VDC off has anything to do with exhaust tone, note, or anything else you might call it. But hey I could be wrong. I'll reluctantly give this a try tomorrow.

Ditto!
anyway is technically impossible, there is no relation in between VDC and exhaust!!! and no, there is no relation in between ECU setting and VDC

he must be retarded?

actually, if you have wheel spin in the snow, VDC will actually cut off throttle when you actually need more in certain situations.

Yeah, that's true but he mentioned something about vdc off in ice reduces the amount of slipping and sliding.

Ah come on we were 16 once

Only thing you are going to gain from turning off the VDC is a higher probability of you losing control and wrapping your car around a telephone pole, or worse, a power line. Think about the thousands who will suffer from watching TV for hours while they scrape you off the road.
