Didn't it say somewhere in the thread that it will increase the hp once the ecu recognizes that there has been a pulley change. I don't think the same day dyno is going to give you irrefutable results.

Can someone explain why the ECU would need to adjust to a lighter pulley? It doesn't change A/F ratios or anything?

Since the gains in horsepower come from less parasitic loss, I don't know where the ecu would come into play.

I was wondering the same thing. I mean, lighter wheels cause less parasitic loss too, but I've never heard of the ECU having to adjust to getting those.

ecu isn't going to notice a thing, it'll be kinda sorta similar to having much lighter wheels/tires on.

Its always been a general rule of thumb to reset the ecu for any mods you do. Will it help w the pulley? prob not. Only thing I can think of is that it will help the ecu re-learn any additional gains that the ecu didnt recognize before.

you know if there are 0 gains though, someone is going to come on here and say it's because you didn't wait for the ecu to catch on.

I was reading that it has to do with the VVEL. The pulley effects the way the ecu operates the VVEL or something. It also stated that engines with variable valves like ours see higher gains with pulleys.

Did no one see my dyno? 1000HP and 65TQ. What more do you need? The proof is in the dyno.

Seriously though, I should be able to dyno this next week. Hopefully my exhaust gets here soon. Come on Tony, get that &*(^ in the mail. BTW, my birthday is next saturday so hopefully I get the exhaust before Friday if possible. I do not want to be doing a dyno on my birthday.

If I'm not mistaken, Arsh is A.H from the My350Z forums. He's done a lot of product dyno testing for the Z community on his HR engine.

Well Arsh, or A.H., or whoever needs to back up a claim like that, he's basically calling us idiots. It's a useless post if he doesn't. Experience or not, product testing or no product testing, a post like that is stupid with out info/facts.
