I've had this twice and both times it was the gas cap. The first time I let the tank get really low before filling and it came on for a few days.
The last time it came on a few days after I filled so I took it to the dealer. They said the cap was loose. My bad.
Fill it up and make sure the cap is several clicks tight. Even then it can take a while for the light to go off.
I'd get it looked at anyway.

this has happened to me twice, and the first time they said it was a loose gas cap. however, it was on half tank and it didn't fix the issue.
few hours after i took it home from dealer it came back on, without touching the gas cap. took it back the next day and they still have my car. this was a week ago, and they deemed it an "EVAP system leak".
Just take it in. I've been driving the loaner G35x for a week now, and its quite nice. Especially not putting miles on my car (lease~15k/yr)

Sounds like probably just a gas cap. unfortunately until infiniti resets your car the CEL will be on, just got to make sure you click the cap a couple extra times than you would think.

"Any time you get a CEL always check and tighten the gas cap first. Drive a few miles and if that's the issue it will go away."
"Sounds like probably just a gas cap. unfortunately until infiniti resets your car the CEL will be on"
Both of these can not be correct.
Actually, the first is closer, while the second is false. The car is programmed, as are most of today's cars, to keep the light on until the symptom has been removed and the car makes three trouble-free trips. A trouble-free trip does not mean once around the block, it means actually driving the car a reasonable distance.

I had the light on for multiple fillings, the light didn't go off until I had my oil changed and they cleared the code. You can click the cap as much as you want and that light isn't going to go off once its on due to that reason.
