I had the light on for multiple fillings, the light didn't go off until I had my oil changed and they cleared the code. You can click the cap as much as you want and that light isn't going to go off once its on due to that reason.
Page 2-17 of the G37 Owner Manual, under Malfunction Indicator Light:
"Check the fuel-filler cap. If the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, tighten or install the cap and continue to drive the vehicle. The light should turn off after a few driving trips."
"After a few driving trips, the light should turn off if no other potential emission control system malfunction exists."
"If the light does not turn off after a few driving trips, have the vehicle inspected by an INFINITI dealer."
