For the strip, it's a different story if you want to win. Lots of races are lost coming off the line and feathering the clutch costs you time.

Like I asked, why would you want to drag race a G37?

Didn't I see a thread a while back about somebody losing to a Neon SXT? Gotta watch that power to weight advantage they have. If you really want to be humiliated, pick on an AWD Subaru with 300 ponies out of the box.

The car is much better suited for the autocross tracks.
To all the people giving advice to rev up and dump the clutch, I don't see any of you guys taking your car to the track.

KahnQuistador, obviously you have not taken your car to the strip. So, how can you say feathering the clutch will cost you time? I feather the clutch everytime and that's how I get a 2.0 on my 60ft. What's wrong on taking your car to the dragstrip? If a honda can drag their cars why not the G? Btw, I don't a 300hp STi will humiliate a G37.

Really? Flash and intake? Assuming all he has is an intake, stage1 flash will give him 8%. My younger brothers STi with intake and DP exhaust on 20psi ran a 13.10 @ 109mph. Yeah, he smoked me at the 1/4 since AWD is a bitch to race from a dig. But on the highway is a complete different story. It was head to head all the way. I even start inch'ing away on 5th gear. Do you have a 5AT or 6MT? What year is friends Z?

The thing is that stock for stock the sti is still a quicker car from a dig. When you start modding then the sti and evo's produces more power with comparable bolt ons and a reflash. It's actually kinda sick to see how much people are getting out of the evoX over at evom.net with $2K worth of bolt ons and reflash. The only way to beat them is to fight fire with fire and go TT. Then out of a digg the AWD will get ahead, but I'd say you would pass them pretty quick. This is board racing and it really doesn't matter until you are in a scenario as anything can happen.

oh yeah! Racing an AWD from a dig is a bitch. No matter what turbo cars will respond well with bolt-ons.
Stock on stock, of course they'll beat us on every category coz of the awd advantage. But take all that away and run it from a roll it'll be a different story. My brother and I ran both our car stock againts it's other.
