I have done several grounding systems (not on the G37 yet) and 8 AWG is sufficient. I did do one with 4 AWG but it was indeed overkill. The wires you are replacing are as thin as 12 or 14 AWG in some instances which is not heavy enough. That's why you are replacing them.

Nah I just again checked their website and the special is still there. I even created a new order and it came up $89.95 with free shipping as well. Here's the link: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...odel=G37%202DR

Hmmm yeah, forgot about the mandatory insurance. So, are you gonna pull the trigger? If I can be of help, let me know. I can take more pics if you want. One thing I'd like to clarify, you won't be replacing any pre-existing cables. You're just adding the ones with the kit.

EZ....quick question

This is going to be hard to explain or understand but here goes...lol

(Pre-Grounding Kit): Let's say, you put it in to DS mode, and acclerate to about 4-6k, usually it takes 1-2 seconds for it to shift, there is some sort of LAG, correct?

Does the stillen kit you have, correct this?

I know exactly what you mean. Yes, significant improvement with the DS mode paddle shifting too. I mentioned that at the beginning of this thread. Trust me, that's the first thing I tested. But above and beyond that, the trasmissions now shifts smoother too. I'm a believer.

I ordered some silver ones a couple hours ago. I have a 6mt so I don't think I will see much but the silver color in the bay area will be nice since most intakes are silver. Not sure if shipping is free but I will see. It didn't give me a shipping price and said to call for the shipping price so who knows. Hopefully I see some improvement such as audio.

EZ,

If you email or fax me the installation instructions so I can see which grounding points their kit uses, I will be fabricating one for myself and others who'd rather give me a lot less of their money than Stillen will take.

I scanned the instructions to PDF format. The document fed a little crooked but the pics came out better than I thought. By the way, you'll notice I only included pages 3 and page 4 of the instructions, but not 1 and 2 since they cover the installation on a 350Z. PM me with your email address if you want me to send you a copy.

So, groundinggear are charging 80 dollars more just for differnet size gauges?

Who knows.. that's why I want to see the installation manuals for both of them. That will also tell you the number of wires and where they are attached. That should be a good indicator of price differencial.
