G37 turbo question

I am still between a g37s and an audi rs4 all depending on which will be better/more solid with a turbo. Still relatively new to the g's comming from a bmw, but whats all your honest opinions on the g37? much longer wait for a solid turbo or is an audi a better route for that.

There was a post not to long ago for an Audi turbo costing 40k. To be honest with you Infiniti parts are going to be way cheaper than Audi performance parts. I could be wrong just my opinion though

well cosidering the G37 is new and turbo kits aren't as refined as the rs4's. i would get the rs4 regardless but thats just b/c they are epic cars that i have much respect for, but i love my g37 so much and you are comparing cars that have a big price tag gap. so unless your getting a used rs4 and if thats the case then G37 for sure no question. the g37 should be fine with a custom kit from gtm, performance factory, and forged performance.

Tru im gonna test teh g again at 5 today then the rs4 after to double check. but is the g37 engine gonna blow easier then the audi? i know the new rs4 isnt even turbo but with the custom g37 kit even tho its all speculation since its not out are these engines capable of handling boost without too much rebuilding?

dude all i am going to say is stock the g37 engine block and internals are awesome and were made to handle more horse power. i can tell you right now i will be running in the high 400whp as a daily driver on my g37 no questions asked,, it has been tested and it has handled a solid 546whp easly and the boost control went out on one run and it spiked at 16 psi and hit 568 whp and the engine handled it. the clutch is the only thing that gave out.... the engine inmy opion and some other very very respectable mechanics and shops that the g37 engine is tuff as nails.... hands down... especially when the 350z engine gives out before 450whp.... and well i dont know much about the adui but i have friends that have had thema and had nothing but problems..... just my 2 cents

Two totally different animals. A lot of people get great satisfaction of custom tuning and modifiing a car like the G37's. Others prefer an OEM car that is fast and exciting right out of the box. Funny thing, is that even those turbo OEM cars are just begging for mods.

Best of luck with your decision...I don't think youi can go wrong either way. The new line of VQ's are MADE for boost, IMHO.

The 03-07 5AT has been holding 400whp'ish with just a valve body upgrade. Althought its always speculation until someone starts pushing the 5AT, I suspect that 400-450whp will be a comfortable limit, without major upgrades to the 5AT.

The 6MT has delivered over 700whp.....so plenty of room there.

Damn u guys here are actually helpful, i remember my days back on maxima.org like 6 years back. Absolute ****ssssssssss when asked turbo questions. I was at infin today and still am between this and now the lexus is-f the rs was small as hell and they let me drive an s6 v10 but that thing was just a bit too big/monster for me. I asked the sales guy i know if the warranty would be void if i turbo'd the car and he said it wouldnt aslong as the turbo didnt cause the problem which seems chill and all, with a single turbo running like 400-450 hp lets say would I be looking at a disaster to happen with no warranty??? my old man has me freaked about the voiding so thats why im asking you guys. peace broski's

You wont need but 375whp to beat some 335's. 400whp auto cars feel more 450-475whp manual trans cars. No shifting, and LOTS of instant trq.
