no it was shot. we think a 22. bullet hole in both my windows lines up perfect with the bullet hole in the windshield of the civic in img 308. i dont have an exact price on just the clutch. all i know is the clutch and flywheel, bought, ordered, and installed is a little over $1500. im so anxious to get my car back!!! it will probably be about 3 weeks to a month before i get to drive it again.

Maybe you should invest in some bullet-proof glass instead!

Noob question: what's the advantage of getting a lighter flywheel?

Lightened flywheel

The RPM will rev and drop a lot faster, the engine uses less power to turn a lightened flywheel. Also a good time to put in a racing clutch. There are other advantages but this covers it in a nut shell.

With an upgraded clutch like the one you're getting, and a lightened flywheel, will smooth shifts still be possible or will they be more abrupt shifts, albeit with better clutch grip?

Was this flywheel made especailly for the G37 or is it the same one used in other VQ cars?

Sucks that they shoot your car but at least none of the paint got damaged and the windows and seats can be replaced. Let us know how the new set up feels once you drive it.
So we know have intakes, hfcs, exhausts, reflash, flyweels, and clutches and many other mods available for the G37 a car that is not even one year old. Nice, nice.

i dont think it is made for the g37. from my understanding the transmission has to match the clutch and the clutch has to match the flywheel. from engine to flywheel there is not a lot that has to match. but i dont know anything about how all that works so dont quote me. i hope there is a difference in the drivability. Jason, who is doing all the work on it said i should notice a big difference given the fact that the new flywheel is a lot lighter. he said throttle response should improve greatly. but evryone ive asked about a lightweight flywheel has said it works great but it will be a lot louder when the clutch isnt depressed. that could be problematic for some of us because our flywheels are already so loud.

amplified Clutch/transmission noise is something G37s dont need...

So ... its not a G37 Flywheel but its going to work anyways?

^ thats my understanding of it. they havent gotten anything installed yet so there can still be complications. waiting on insurance and the windows to be replaced.... fvckin kids.
