this thread is very confusing. i wish we had full stock, greddy, and everything one by one then with everything else. but over all Max HP gains don't matter as its really the curve and torque that we will feel daily.

5 weeks dude, damn. your a champ for giving it up that long just for computer. I need a beater so bad.

reflash $600 , exhaust $1000 , HFC $500 , Intake $400

$2500 = 20-25rwhp

...roughly. LOL!

I'm starting to think it's better to save all my money for a turbo or supercharger when the eventually come out, and not bother with all these other mods that give minor gains and end up really adding up $$$$$ wise, some of which (intake, reflash) are not even compatible with a turbo/supercharger setup down the road.

Think I would rather pay $7-10K in one shot and get 100+HP that will be tunable along the way. It just seems that Infiniti did such a damn good job squeezing the HP outta the stock setup that the only real way to get some crazy HP gains is with FI. Normal cars see much bigger gains with HFC, exhaust, intake, but the G37 is just so darn solid in the power category right outta the factory. This is why I havent done anything yet, I really want to see what happens regarding our eventual FI options, just sucks waiting though.

Tadashi said that the engine should be putting out more power than it does. But the EPA is really putting the squeeze on emissions. The engine has so many systems in it that it is hard to make it get more power without the computer wanting to make the emissions "SAFE." If you want big power than definitely wait for the TT and hope it is smog legal. That is why he was working on my car for 3 weeks because the car wanted to adjust for better emissions and not more power.

I dont think its just our car thats having trouble squeezing power out of its 08' models in general. And its going to be harder and harder with all the computers trinkets nick knacks and what nots that cars are coming with nowadays.

NA is still really good and will last a lot longer than a FI. FI is better for power but has side effects! The motor that is..
