But to make a significant difference you need a different car.
But then again significant to one is not to another.
ummm.. i fill up every 3.5 days for an avg of 52dollars.

I don't envy you man. But yeah driving conservative will save you tons over a year.

That's a tough thing to do in this car my friend.

Yup.. I drank up about 3/4 tank in a mountain run yesterday. That was an expensive run.

how much does the spare tire weigh? after taking it out do the trunk floor mats cave in like they do on some cars when the spare is out? i am wondering if taking it out is even worth it.

Another lightweight technique (assuming u never go out of ur way for gas) is to always fill gas to half a tank since 10 gallons equals about 80 pounds of extra weight. this means you will fuel more often but assuming ur gas is always "on the way" of your trips it shouldnt matter. Also psychologically when I fill to halfway I drive a lil more conservatively since seeing it at FULL makes you wanna push the pedal more and drive harder and longer and more liberally haha.

Another tip is do not drive with the windows open on the highway too much. I know its fun and we all do time to time but the resistance actually adds to the car's drag and causes it to have to work harder to move forward, it wastes more at highway speeds than does A/C. Also cruise control at 60-65 not 90 haha.

yea filling up halfway is much smarter than full. i do the same thing b/c i hate fueling up. I will think oh i am so close to empty might now want to kick it. Its bad being at the pumps daily, unless u watching gas prices lol
