So I was thinking about this the other day.....I've since bought a 2008 Chevy 2500HD truck that has turned into my daily driver but I had the Infiniti out joy riding last weekend and decided to test this whole rev limiter thing again.....Sure enough, my 5AT nails it at roughly 146 and goes no further....I'll have it in 4th gear and be pulling just fine getting ready to shift into 5th and then it shifts itself into 5th and holds that speed (doesn't matter if I have it in paddle shift mode or not it will always auto shift to 5th and hold 146).....I will say this though....spending most of my time in the truck (big slow diesel) and then switching over to the G37S I finally get what this car is all about. It always just felt slow coming from my modified Lightning but now I understand...

The point I'm getting to is the following:
It goes in for a service this Thursday....You think I'm justified in making a complaint for warranty service since the governor on my car does not match the specs per the manual? I mean technically it's defective as it doesn't do what they say it does.....

Want to guess how cuught off guard the service writer will be...

146mph is too slow my friend. You need to bring it up at the dealership. Comparing my top speen run to yours, I can verify that it does force-shift from 4th to 5th at around 7K rpm. However my car coughs up another 20mph easy after that. (5AT - "S").

Based on Middle East specs - I estimate that:

Top Speed: 170 mph (It might take a little while to get there, but it will)
With some modifications: 175 mph. I don't see the G going faster than that.
