VDC and road course/ mountain runs
This is the first car I've had with VDC. It's pretty nice most of the time. But sometimes at low speeds and quick turn, it sucks. I know I've seen discussion about turning this off during drag racing. I understand that completely. But would you guys recommend turning this off on road courses and mountain runs (meaning lots of back to back sharp turns)?

I'm just mostly looking at this isssue from peformance stand point. Would leaving it on slow you down such as lap times or have any small affect on overall handling on a performance level?

think about it.. sometimes you may take a turn at low speed and power out of it. sometimes, the wheels will slip, but only a bit. this little bit of oversteer would be acceptable and you could continue to power out.
with VDC on, the tiniest amount of slip will cut major power to the wheels, slowing you for a second, then recovering allowing you to power out of the corner.
that said, i still leave VDC on for the remote chance that i apply TOO much power from a turn, which would result in a 180.

Road courses.... yes if you have a lot of run off. mountain roads.... HELL NO..... not unless you want to fly off those mountain roads. there really is no need to turn the it off on the street. its just not needed. On track days or auto crosses ya its great and it will help you go faster if you know what you are doing and how to control a car...

lol, still sober! i would never take it off in the canyons. maybe like said a street track. I think many of us think we are pro's and know our cars better than we really do. just be careful. if your asking you should keep it on as unv said. Terrible i hope you are super careful.
