Free Alignment from Infiniti
#31
I went to my infiniti dealer for the 3750 service and requested an alignment. They told me that its not free and if it was it would have been voided by my lowering springs. Bummer!

Um, yes it! And I think someone even posted in this thread about there dealer telling them to wait until they lowered their car before getting the free alignment!

I have to disagree with you DGC. Think about it logically. Lowering springs are by their very nature an alteration to the vehicle's suspension system that takes the car out of alignment and accelerates wear on components (struts) in a way the manufacturer's did not design it to handle. Why would warranty cover it if it definately is the issue that caused the alignment issue?

Maybe I misunderstood your post. Are you saying that that the dealership said that it IS covered by warranty even with aftermarket springs installed or that you think it ought to be?

I called my dealership and they said that if I lower my car it will void my warranty, thus no free alignment. Is there an excuse to get a free alignment and hopefully they won't notice my future tein h-techs?

Some dealers are mod friendly and some are not. It really is up to the dealer on whether they want to do these fee-bee's or not. Thats why it is not written anywhere (ie., free oil changes, alignments, etc.)

For those of you that are not familiar with your Infiniti warranty, you should know that within the first 12,000 miles or 1 year of owning your NEW Infiniti you are able to get a FREE, ONE TIME front/rear aligment from your Infiniti dealer!
Many of you should know that the stock tires have a very low treadwear and will most likely not last as long as some of you might think. A good time to take advantage of your alignment would be around your second oil change. This will be just about the time (if you drive at high speeds) that the inside of your tires will start to wear slightly more than the outside. So please, don't spend the $60+ to get your car aligned when you can get it done for FREE!

I took my car for the 7500 service, they wanted to do an alignment and I told if it's free then do it and I did mention that I was 100% sure if was free for the first year. My service agent checked with the manager and called me back to say that it's not free!!! It would cost 200 something dollars!!! That is Infiniti of South Bay in So.Cal. Anyone took their car here to get the free alignment?
