the headlights are OK but I've noticed they cut on and off when you drive. Mine have popped on when stuck in traffic in the morning if I pass under a bridge. When I clear it, they go off. I'm sure the car(s) in front of me thinks I'm nuts.

yeah that is true it only takes going from light to dark for a few seconds for the adaptive headlights to go on and vice versa which is not a big deal considering thats what the "intelligent" part is for. it probably saves some wear on the light bulbs in your car by making sure the lights come on when its dark and stay off otherwise...

^^you guys aren't really referring to the "adaptive" part of the headlights. That is just automatic on and off which is standard even on non-tech package cars. The adaptive refers to the swiveling of left and right based on which direction you are turning.

In case you didn't know, the sensitivity of the automatic headlights can be adjusted in Settings. You can adjust them to where an overpass doesn't trigger the lights to come on in the settings menu. Your engine must be on, then select Settings -> Comfort & Convenience -> Auto Headlight Sensitivity. Make them more or less sensitive to darkness as you desire.

I use ICC daily on my beltway drive to work, great feature. Also helpful for those quick Nav glances or IPOD music navigations while driving, it's nice the car is always looking ahead for those brief seconds I'm not.

Callaway ur right the adapive part is the bit where the lights turn with the steering and hence the road twists. Good point. Black Betty good call I have seen that sensitivity adjustment and never knew what is exactly controlled. I really need to read my thicker owner's manual!! Thanks guys...

I love the adaptive cruise control on my G37S

As you mention below, it is best to use it on the highway (that was it design)

Recommended usage is at highway speeds, following a car that is approximately moving at the speed you want, or on open road. In these situations it is very luxurious to not have to monitor the gas or breaks and give your legs a change of position.

^^On the adaptive I can't help out but on the normal cruise I can. You must first turn it on by pressing the on/off button on the right side of the steering wheel. You will see a "cruise" setting light up in the center display console. Then to set you speed all you do it hit the control button/stick on the right side when you are at speed. I cannot remember which way to hit it though. I think it is down but it might be up. One way sets the speed and I think the other way resets the speed. It is marked though. Just remember that you have to turn on the cruise first.

The ICC procedure is basically the same as above. There is an extra button on the steering wheel to set the following distance. To use normal cruise, just keep the on/off button pressed down to toggle between normal and ICC.

I also haven't quite got the hang of cancel/resume verses the other function of up/down on that switch, which is to add or subtract one MPH or jump to the nearest multiple of 5 if you hold it.

I'm thinking you're referring to laser alerts on your radar detector...

I get no alarms caused by the ICC with the V1 but then again I still have the laser band disabled from when I used it in another car (it was getting triggered by a dash mounted Garmin GPS.

Where is your detector mounted?
