"I'm really disappointed with the G37. I took it for a test drive and was unimpressed. They lost the magic of the G35.

And there is no way I would ever feel proud driving that thing to a meet. Its body design is for stuffy old fogies.

When Infiniti designed the G35 they broke away from a failed marketing plan and hit a home run right out of the ball park.

The new G37 is a rehash of the failed, old and decrepid Q45.
Infiniti must want to go back to their "near bankrupcy" days."

i hope he makes products for us G37 guys. i loved the spacer on my 350Z!:icon38:

I love the looks of the G37 and all it's capabilities wrapped into one package.
For the price, I think it has it's own niche. Each to their own-

The fact that Tony doesn't seem to like it should in no way cast aspersions on his charcter or his business ethics.

He went to bat for me for sure. I called him right out of the blue and he immediately jumped in to help.

Nothing against the guy but to me it looks like he's say two totally different things one to the bimmer guys over on e90post and one to the nissan/infiniti guy. business is business though

Tony is a great guy. I have dealt with him on a couple of occassions and he is on the up and up. If he doesn't like the car then he doesn't like the car. However Tony and I have exchanged e-mails and all indication is that he will still be producting a spacer for the G37 engine. He said that he will announce on the forums when it is ready ...

Why would we want to buy parts from someone that clearly has an axe to grind, anyway?

MaxToTheG37 12-26-2007 02:35 AM

an email from them told me quote..."We have some very interesting new exhaust designs coming out in a couple months."

wonder what they have in mind?

MaxToTheG37 12-27-2007 01:38 PM

and he also wrote in another email to look for the plenium spacer in a few months...

stranage...he has posted on my350z.com that the HRs will not benefit from plenum spacers...this was my understanding as well that the HR intakeplenums were already efficient and did not suffer the same choke point the DEs had.

UNV-IT46 12-27-2007 05:32 PM

does it really bother you people that much if someone doesnt like your car?

Sorry guys.

Sorry if I offended anyone. I don't have an axe to grind. I just felt disappointed.

When Infiniti came out with the G37 prototypes they looked absolutely awesome. I was really jazzed on the look. But when they actually released it, they took out (IMO) the sporty agressive look the protos had. The increase in weight also came as a disappointment.

I was hopeing they would have the look of the prototypes. That would have really kicked it in for me. My personal bias is towards a stripped out road course car.:o

So what is in the works? we wanna hear it from the horses mouth... lol
thanks

Exhaust system first. A very versitile and adaptable system. And it won't be like anything else on the market.

The plenum mods will take more work in R&D though. The stock piece is all molded into one piece so it can't be modified. This will take a whole new plenum assembly.

MaxToTheG37 01-01-2008 01:56 PM

ETA on exhaust?

Hydrazine 01-01-2008 02:37 PM

A couple months.

Its getting jiged up for reproduction now.

wow! very cool! i coudln't care less if you don't like the car tony. i was just hoping you'd still be working on the 37HR since you are one of the premiere tuners for the VQ. I loved the spacer on my Z and was hoping you'd do something for us 37 guys.

I think most of us on this forum can agree with you there. I am pretty sure we all wish it looked more like the prototype. I can't wait to see the exhaust and hopefully the plenum mods won't take to long! :BOUNCE:
