A Word From Cobb Tuning...

What I Sent...

Hi there,

I just wanted to send a quick email and say I hope that there are future
plans for developing parts for the Infiniti G37. I used to drive an STi
and had it loaded with as many Cobb parts as you offered. I'm anxiously
waiting to see if you start supporting the G37. I would be a great
endorser of your products in the Infiniti world if you would give us
some support.

Take care
James Mayer

What I Received...

James,
We took our shop G37 to SEMA this year!! See our blog posts regarding SEMA below:

http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/josh/?p=23

So to answer your question, yes, we are already developing performance options for the G37. There are currently no estimated time frames for the new performance parts, but I would suggest keeping an eye on our main blog page. A lot of new information is always being updated onto to the blog page, so its the best place to find out where we are in the development process. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
Justin

Waiting sucks....eventually we'll have an abundance of parts from all different tuners. This is the price you pay for buying such a new car.

I have no problem waiting. Cobb produces great parts that actually perform.

I emailed them a while back asking if they would be selling the headlight treatments that were on the SEMA car and was told no, it was a one off thing that they would not be doing for any customers.

Headlight treatments are not really our thing. We never really offered modifications that are on the aesthetics side. We generally offer more performance targeted products. That being said, we still like our "show" cars to look nice....and we have a talented individual here that likes to pay attention to those small details that make a huge difference.

The G37 is a new car, and it will take time to develop performance options for the platform. Keep in mind that we do take the time to properly engineer a part before we release it to the public. Fit, finish, quality, and performance will be scrutinized before we sign off on a design. I do not think you gys will be dissappointed, but I know what its like to have to wait for ANY parts to be released for a new car.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

Hey Justin. I'm the jackass that bugged you for the headlights. I still have cash in hand if you'd like to sell me the ones from your show car.

How about a little taste of what parts you have upcoming first and an estimate of when you will be ready to take our money?

What would you like to see from COBB? I would like to know so that I may be able to improve the lineup of parts that COBB is planning to offer? COBB will offer the typical products that are offered to the other models COBB supports, which means an intake, exhaust, short shifter, sway-bars and AccessPORT are in the works, but what else would you like to see? Thanks.

Just a COBB engineer looking to make you happy.

Wow, is that Accessport for newbies? It's not going to hurt the car if a rookie starts treating it like an iPod is it?
