Didn't do a hard break in, but still planning on changing at 1,000 or just after the motor is broken in at 1,200. I think the reasoning behind that, is to get a clean oil change after the "breaking in" of the motor, which may leave stuff in the oil.

no it wont hurt. Changing early isnt going to do anything either. Your just wasting time and money. There is a reason infiniti says to do the first oil change at 3750. If it was worth it they would tell you to do it earlier, that would benifit them more considering most people will go to the dealer to have this done so telling you to do it sooner would mean more money for them. but they dont. because the enginiers think that 3750 is the best time. Why second guess the people who designed the motor?
