ECUTEK user reviews and dynos
I'm in the process of switching over to ECUTEK for my 37 coupe. I have been using Uprev since 06. I just want to know if it's worth it to switch over.
If I switch over I give up the ability to change things on my own like I can with uprev.
I don't want to switch over if it's only marginally better than uprev.
I have the opportunity to have John V tune my car while he is down in Baltimore in a few weeks.
I already have a tune which put down 301/245 on a dynojet. The plan if I do the switch is 3 pulls on the tune, remove uprev (I have a tuner cable), John retunes with ECUTEK for a same day comparison.
Questions for users
How does it feel compared to uprev?
Is the throttle response just as snappy with ECUTEK?
How is the shifting is it faster/firmer?
Do you still have rev matching? (I race with ETC off and the throttle response is instant, but you lose rev matching with ETC off).
Current users post your experiences and dynos if you have any. Thanks
My current tuned dyno with uprev last week

Did you not read my thread LOL, IT's a night and day difference, You'll have instant throttle, you'll make more WHP through out the power band, my shifting the car actually snaps, Watch the vids I posted in my thread from the track .
I NEVER drive in D or with ETC on and still have REV matching, You'll ever get your cruise control back as ECUTEK has the ability to tune for gear swaps !
Make the change and never look back, I did See dyno below, UPREV Vs ECUTEK
UPREV was 285 WHP and 230 WHTRQ, ECUTEK was 302 WHP and 240 WHTRQ ECUTEK is higher the all the way!

I did read your thread, but you are the only one who has done a in depth review. I figured my thread would allow everyone with it to comment pros and cons of it which out having people interested to search multiple threads.
If you already have a review thread you can just add the link to it here no need to type it all over again.
Remember it took you over a yr to finally make the switch you wanted to be sure you were making the right decision if you did. I along with others feel the same way switching from something proven to something new.

Imma make the switch in a year or so. Ecutek got some more bugs to work out per my tuner's comment. I also wanna get LTH so imma tune on that. But ecutek is better than uprev. Also the ability to change your launch control via the cruise control tab is a big reason for my swap over.

I gained power over the racerom 1 from ecutek, due to the more accurate control of the feuling.about 10hp and 14trq at the wheels peak, and 20trq in the midrang. Racerom 2 is no joke , the car drives night and day different like anmvq states. Midrange power is where the tuning really shines, between 3-5k rpm the car pulls really well. Throttle response is crisp and immediate, the throttle lag is eliminated completely. Also, the fan control is just like uprev where the cooling fans kick on at lower temps, keeping your engine a little cooler.

Nice 60' BTW. Cecil County is local(ish) to me. Wish I was there to see it go down.
I think I'm going to give Ecutek a try.
Thanks for the post/thread,
Sean
