I found a thread over on the370z forum where Visconti mentions the software doesn't work on 08 models because of differences in the ecu.

Does anyone know what the differences are, if you can simply plug a 09+ ecu in, and how to tell whay ecu you have?

I took a quick look on ebay and some ecus are listed as 08-09 so maybe it's just ecutek that won't work?

Or if someone has an 08 with ecutek, I'd like to know!

Ok so I spoke with Joe about the Uprev options as well as Jon about the Ecuteck options today. The prices are as follows...

Standard Uprev-$550 (you get the stuff and he tunes it for you thru a program)
Better Uprev- $750 (same as above but you have the option of playing around with it)
EcuTeck. - $850 (more HP gains and only a Hundo more)

Can anyone explain why I would wanna start with anything other than the Ecuteck? Other than the $300 savings if I went with the standard Uprev.

I decided I wanted the top end :/. An thats still not out of the window for me Its just sitting on my shed. But if I decided to do it I'll send it out to be ported first.

But I like that the car pulls till 8k now and not falls on it's face at 7200. M370 runs out of steam at 7200 RPMS. But mod range makes 10-12 more WTRQ

I think the lack of a response is because you already answered your own question lol Go with the ecutek!
