I'm just about ready to go with the EcuTek custom e-tune like you guys have. However, I have some questions about data logging as I've done this before. Can I use a MAC or does it have to be a windows based laptop?

Can someone lay out the steps in the e-tune process in detailed layman's terms please?

So you need a laptop, download the program onto it right? Then he emails you the ROM files you use to download the boxed tune to your car using the provided cable is that correct?

Curious, have you used the launch control features of ecutek yet? I'd be interested in seeing how that works. Being a 6MT I'm also interested in seeing the flat foot shifting.

Good to see a G at NED, doesn't ever seem to be any when I go....tons of GTRs now though.

o

Yes for ECUTEK software, and no he send you files through a program called tuner assist , you send him the logs that way also. So youll download that also.
He'll send you instructions on everything.

What's Jon's email address? I got in touch with Joe today about the Uprev. It sounds like a sweet deal. I'm prepping for a purchase in a couple months. But just in case I'd like to compare the prices on the other options as well.

Uprev.vs. Ecutek

This thread should make many folks sell their uprev cable w/ license for $550 and get ecutek. I'm intrigued at the launch control and flat foot shifting. It's hard to do it as is now lol. Are the maps locked to the tuner or are you able to make your leg changes after your tuner done his magic.

I got my Ecutek tune about a week ago at specialty z with Sebastian.

Results were really impressive. Baseline dyno was 300 whp and 244 wtq on 105 f day. After tune dyno was 321 and 263 wtq. Gains of 21 whp and 19 wtq. Sebastian' was even impressed and apparently that the highest out put NA Infiniti they dynoed.
The night after tune I ran my buddy who had just got his Uprev street tune on 2013 g 37 Sedan with same mods no dyno.
We rolled of 40 and 60 both times my car was pulling and gaining on him but very slowly, very close race.
Note when we raced with same bolt ons and no tune I would pull harder on him.

Bottom line Ecutek for the win, hp aside car feels alive and doesn't feel artificial.
