This is also at 1 bar of boost. If this thing started screaming toward 19 or 20 psi there would be a lot more torque. I thought it wasa little low as well. Then again it was only in RWD mode for the pulls. It feels a TON faster when that is pulling you forward from all 4 wheels.

What we are really happy with was how fast the turbos are spooling....I mean 200 ft lb. by 3000 rpm isn't too bad for a turbo car.

 

Speaking of boost and torque...you'll be proud to learn that Playboy is doing casting for SMU for the college girls pictorials....sounds like you need to become the representative for the school and do personal casting.

 

NO WAY!!! Geez...there are about 3,000 friggin playboy bunnies in the making at any given time on SMU's campus. I mean a Playboy bunny would be a dream for these girls....there soul occupation is to BE HOT in a 24 hour period. That's all they have to do. Oh I almost forgot.....go shopping and spend as much money on useless stuff as humanly possible. Yeah I bet Playboy will find a lot of young ladies to answer their call at SMU.

All that having been said......if Playboy would like me to personally interview each candidate before the screening I would reluctantly have to accept.

 

The GTR got it's interior makeover and is seated on the dyno for some high boost pulls. A set of Bride Ergo II seats and Takata harnesses. The Red stitched leather to match the red stitching in the steering wheel....so hot!!!! Well if you look closely the car is actually strapped to the dyno so high boost numbers are only a matter of hours away.

Nope the modded white one is now the Lambo Orange one. His name on here is Mark350GT. I had the Diamond graphite one with Volk SF Challenges and greddy TT kit there for a while.

 

We had boost controller issues for the better part of the morning this morning. Solved our issues and made a few passes.

17 psi 491 whp 382 tq
19 psi (breaking up real bad) 541 whp 429 tq

We didn't push our luck but the car was really sputtering up top at 19 psi. Our spark just wasn't strong enough from the stock ignition setup. We are in the market for an R33 GTR HKS DLI unit to make some accurate 19 and 20 psi runs. Here are the dynos of the 17 and 19 psi runs. You can obviously see the breaking up in both runs (the 19 psi more so than the 17 psi)

Looks like 550-600 HP with some good sparks. I guess you are still dynoing RWD?

My car hit a whopping 240 whp/tq on the same dyno, ok I'm jealous.

Hey sparky, any progress? My wife is waiting for you to hit a stable 20 psi so the race will be evenly matched against her Eclipse!

 

I contacted XS engineering and their Power Pack ingintion amp for the RB does the trick (according to most everyone on the FreshAlloy.com boards) so we ordered up one of those beasts from them which we hoped they had in stock....turns out they don't so we are looking at 2 weeks until the install and 20 psi runs. With new plugs and a stable spark we want to see 550 to 560 whp and then we'll call it a day until the motor build.

That sounds like a solid plan for the beast I totally agree with you.....so....should I bill you for them or just steal them.

I will in due time. I kind of like these wheels for a track set. They definately could use a new set of tires. But for cruising wheels it will likely be 18x10's with some mad tight JDM lip YO!!! All in due time.
