My Dyno - 2005 G35 Coupe 5AT
I went to Velocity Motorsports today to dyno on the DynoJet. I've got the
19" OEM Tires.
Here are the results.
1) 230.23hp / 219.60 tq (done in 4th gear)
2) 233.47hp / 219.73 tq (done in 3rd gear)
3) 234.95hp / 222.30 tq (done in 3rd gear)
Jason only ran the dyno from 4K to 7K (redline).
Mods I have: (1) UT Carbon Fiber G Tube with K/N Filter and (2) Gordgee's 10 Wire Grounding Kit.
I believe these numbers are pretty standard. I plan to Dyno again after the
(1)Crawford Cats install and again after (2) DC Headers; JIC Y Pipe; Fuji Exhaust. That way we all can see if there is any improvement.

Randy, the crawford cats should be here Friday. But since the dyno/bbq is saturday, they can't put them on then. So hopefully before Thanksgiving. If not, then it will be after Thanksgiving in December. I've already got the Y Pipe and headers on order. I hope to have everything in by January 2006.

TedRuxpin,
Good numbers mine were really low bone stock, Chrome factory 17"
215.46 HP _ 216.48 FT-LB
217.68 HP _ 219.47 FT-LB
220.97 HP _ 221.67 FT-LB
Any muffler shop could install the cats, they're bolt-on. They just need to know to bend the heat shield on the passengers side.

I already talked to Jason at Velocity. He quoted me 2 hours. I'll probably just go there. I didn't dyno my car bone stock unfortunately. So I'll do 2 more dynos to see the changes. I have the 19" and they were at 35psi if that makes any difference.
So is it only the heat shield on the passenger side which must be bent or is it both shields?

Looking through this thread both sides may need to be massaged.

When I got my test pipes on with the exhaust the first thing that happened was the test pipes knocked up against the heat shield on the passenger side. StrongMan speaks the truth. They bent the heat shield away and I haven't had a problem since (3500 miles later) It won't hurt anything, but DAMN it's really annoying.
