Okay guys! You've been asking for it and I've got it set up. November 28th (Monday), we have the track for 8 or 9 hours! If you've never been able to open your car up in a safe environment, this is the place to experience what your car can do. Because the event is not timed, your insurance companies should cover it 100% because it's considered a defensive driving class. I'd check for sure, but I also wouldn't worry about it much. It's hard to lose your car on this track, but if you do, there are no walls to hit and only dirt to go off on. The track is a technical track which means it's not 100+mph like Texas Motor Speedway. You'll get up to about 80mph or so, but it has lots of turns, both up hill and down. I've raced this track and I had a blast.
The first part of the day is spent learning your car on the track by following an instructor. They also have you go through some cone exercises (slalom and braking). After we break for lunch the real fun begins. 4-5 open track sessions! In SoCal, I paid upward of $350-$375 for this type of event. It's only $150 for the whole day! G35's and 350z's welcome!
Here's a more detail overview of the days events:
BYOC
Bring your own car!

This looks crazy! When we're taking laps around the track, are we going to be close to each other (stupid question I know) or are we going to be given like distance leads. I have a 03.5 Sedan (not even sport suspension, haven't been able to get springs/shocks yet) slushbox and I don't want to be a burden to other drivers.

you will receive instructions prior to going out on the track as to where passing areas are (only one good place at MSR)... what you do is stick your hand out the window and wave someone by.

i think clockwise would be faster (and easier on the brakes) because that chicane area (cant think of its name, over by the pits) wouldnt be so nasty
