Trebien, have you called and paid for your spot yet? Don't let this thread fool you...it's going on on two different forums and the people who pay hold rank. Thanks bro. Oh, also, be sure to email me when you pay so I can add your name to the official PAID list and update Apex Driving Academy.

Okay guys! You've been asking for it and I've got it set up. November 28th (Monday), we have the track for 8 or 9 hours! If you've never been able to open your car up in a safe environment, this is the place to experience what your car can do. Because the event is not timed, your insurance companies should cover it 100% because it's considered a defensive driving class. I'd check for sure, but I also wouldn't worry about it much. It's hard to lose your car on this track, but if you do, there are no walls to hit and only dirt to go off on. The track is a technical track which means it's not 100+mph like Texas Motor Speedway. You'll get up to about 80mph or so, but it has lots of turns, both up hill and down. I've raced this track and I had a blast.

The first part of the day is spent learning your car on the track by following an instructor. They also have you go through some cone exercises (slalom and braking). After we break for lunch the real fun begins. 4-5 open track sessions! In SoCal, I paid upward of $350-$375 for this type of event. It's only $150 for the whole day! G35's and 350z's welcome!
Here's a more detail overview of the days events:

BYOC
Bring your own car!

BYOC allows clubs and individuals to use their cars for driving school at the MotorSport Ranch. Apex grads get out earlier; new students get extra instruction to make the day a safe and educational experience.

Below is the time line for groups on BYOC.

1. 8:30 Arrive and sign in. Groups1 classroom (Miata).
2. 9:00-9:30 Group track drills. GP1
3. 9-9:25 Classroom GP2 (G35)
4. 9:30-10:00 GP2 track drills. GP1 Classroom
5. 10:00-10:30 GP1 Lead Follow GP2 Classroom
6. 10:30-11:00 Drills GP2 Lead follow
7. 10:30-1125 GP1 Lunch/CG-Lock
8. 11:30-12:25 GP2 Lunch/CG-Lock GP1 Track session
9. 12:00-12:25 GP2 Track
10. 12:30-12:55 GP1 Track
11. 1:00-1:25 GP2 Track
12. 1:30-1:55 GP1 Track
13. 2:00-2:25 GP2 Track
14. 2:30-2:55 GP1 Track
15. 3:00-3:25 GP2 Track
16. 3:30- 3:55 GP1 Track
17. 4:00-4:25 GP2 Track
18. 4:30- 4:55 GP2 Track

Each student will be able to do skid pad during any afternoon session. We will take groups of five to the pad.

All cars must be in good operating condition; this is each student’s sole responsibility. Apex will have rental school cars available at an extra cost.
School will run in the rain. There is no refund for rain days.

To pay by CC they can call Speedworks our garage/shop at the track and give Chris Greene their CC number.
Chris will need to know that they are part of the G35 club and the date of Nov 28th when they call.

Speedworks
Chris Greene
817-396-4504

The shop is open Wednesday- Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm. It goes with out saying but no own should leave their CC info on the answering machine.

All students will will need to bring or rent($10) a helmet. All students MUST wear pants/jeans while driving on the track. There are no passengers allowed after the first drill session. Students need to bring drinks, sunscreen, and hats if needed.

Hart Photography will be there taking pictures of the event. Photographers are not allowed on the track to take pics.

This looks crazy! When we're taking laps around the track, are we going to be close to each other (stupid question I know) or are we going to be given like distance leads. I have a 03.5 Sedan (not even sport suspension, haven't been able to get springs/shocks yet) slushbox and I don't want to be a burden to other drivers.

you will receive instructions prior to going out on the track as to where passing areas are (only one good place at MSR)... what you do is stick your hand out the window and wave someone by.

There are certain strights that you can "point-by" faster drivers. No worries!

is that clockwise or counterclockwise?

i think clockwise would be faster (and easier on the brakes) because that chicane area (cant think of its name, over by the pits) wouldnt be so nasty
