any local wheel repair shops?

so yea, was driving down on lower greenville this weekend and some f'king guy decides to get in my lane - not sure if he knew i was there, or maybe drunk or wtf but in an attempt to move and not get hit, i turned very quickly on to some side street and curbed my right rear wheel...which really f'king sucks because i haven't had these maya's on there two weeks and now i have a lovely scrape about 8inches along the lip. i don't think there is any sort of structural damage to the wheel, just cosmetic.

anyways, i did a quick search on the forums about curb rash and saw only two places mentioned. one was http://www.wheelcollision.com/ - i have used them before on a set of racing harts i previously owned, nice staff but couldn't fix the problem (wheel wouldn't hold air). some other members had similar experiences, saying they did 'so-so' work, so i'm not sure about trying them again.

another place mentioned was http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/. they have a guy in dallas and might give him a call, but again rather skeptical unless someone has experience using his services.

if anyone has some suggestions, please lemme know. thx.

My iforged wheel was sent to Wheel Technologies to fix my slight inner lip bend.

they do a good job? was there any other damage with your lip, other than the bend? i don't think mine's bent, just needs to be refinished.

I also used Wheel Technologies. Their work is pretty good.

Before:

After pic is attached. They got me the Enkei decals on there as well. Color match was exact.

My lip was just bent, no scratches or anything. But it was the inner lip, and not the outer polished lip. They should be able to fix it pretty well though. Prices are set at like $125 I think.

Hey, let me know who you end up thinking about goint to. Maybe we should try to work up a discount deal for our club with a specific co. Maybe we could even get DFWCC involved. Just an idea. I need to get my stock wheels redone as well. I was thinking about Wheels America; they even offer 24hr turnaround time.

Let me know.

I used Wheels America back in 96 for my old set of 3 piece wheels I had on my Accord. They did a good job of fixing the bent lip, and it was a 24 hour turnaround. Good service as well.

Will, since you used both Wheel Technologies and Wheels America, who would you reccommend? What did Wheels America repair on your old 3 piece?

Well, my old 3 piece wheels, Wheels America fixed a bent/scratched outer lip, and they did a good job repairing & refinishing.

Wheel Technologies didn't need to refinish my Iforged, but they fixed the bent inner lip just fine.

I would give both a call to discuss your options. See who you feel more comfortable with, as both are good companies.

Hey Will, one more quick question about Wheels America - looks like they have a location in Dallas, is that the one you used? Thanks!
