JoTech in Garland is the ****. Kenny Tran and Tony are really cool guys, and they know their stuff too. Got so much info just talkin to Tony while my car was bein worked on.
Got my spc A arms swapped with lekker_droom and front tein basics put on today. They put the a-arms on the wrongs sides at first, but they weren't marked. caught the error and fixed it in no time. really good shop.

also pm waltert on my350z. he does bolt-ons out of his garage for cheap. I got my exhaust put on by him. torqued everything to spec and really careful with everythign.

let's put it this way, though Kenny is a nice guy, that shop has not been one of the most reputable shops around. only since i've talked to some people here that I've ever heard anything positive about that place. they had a horribly reputation back in the day and you DEFINITELY didn't take anything non honda there. i've heard that they have a much better staff these days and have been forced to after they bought Phillip's dyno (phillip from intercrew). i personally still would never go there just based on past experiences

Wait... wait... wait...
I have had extensive work done by both Kenny & Tony personally on two completely different cars and the work was done in an EXCELLENT manner with PERFECT results.

I had a 2003 turbocharged IS300 done in Miami and it was completely untuned. I wanted to upgrade the turbocharger. Kenny/Tony swapped out the turbo, upgraded the injectors, redid the tubing, changed the wastegate, and retuned the Haltech E6k (which is a bitch to tune). They stayed till 10pm that night tuning the car and at the end of the day I was pushing 460 to the wheels with <12 A/R. I couldn't ask for a better or more caring staff.

I also had a 2001 CLK55 AMG and Kenny/Tony did shocks, springs and dyno in less than 2 hours. Never had a problem for 10k miles that I drove it after that was done.

You're gonna need to provide some substantial information before you start flaming JoTech. Based on my experience, they're great.

I have only had springs done there back in 2000 but I do know Tony personaly and he can work on my car anytime. We (my350z) just had a drag racing event and Jotech sponsored it and they went well out of their way to make it a great event.

Its is walkert not waltert hehehe

\\My last experience there was 6 years ago, and if you really need to know its not secret knowledge about the crappy work they were turning out at the time. I have never really had much respect for their shop after I saw them turn out a dropped acura with a complete fugged up camber caster setting saying the alignment was straight on. You can think what you want about that pho shop, but for me my personal run in with that shop have been nothing better than a crappy honda ricer shop

But your experience was 6 years ago and last I checked, they did not perform alignment work.... not sure what the deal is with the Acura!

But then again, my experience with JoTech only goes back 3 years or so... I cannot comment on how they were 6 years ago.

Sorry you had a bad experience but I think they're doing a good job now as most of their current customers (including myself) tend to be very satisfied.

Good luck.
