I bought this last year. It works great. I don't use it for calling just to stream music. The music quality is excellent, it auto connects, small (hidden in the center console), I also have a proclip phone mount. It's super clean.

Another option for iphone users is to buy an airport express, then wire in a 5v to 3v stepdown, and wire that to a usb. you now have airplay in your car. thats what i did in my 07 and it works great! anyone in the car can throw up a song onto the stereo as long as they are connected to the network. its great for roadtrips. i used the guide below. also, if you get a call while streaming you can answer over the bluetooth, and when you hang up it will go back to streaming.

The other week I took a 2011 G37s for a test drive, basically same car except what really caught my attention (no idea why) was the fact that it had blue tooth aux. I have a 2008 G37s coupe and this option doesn't come with the car. So i did a little research here and found something that can make this possible. HomeSpot NFC-enabled Bluetooth Receiver, You can buy it right on eBay or Amazon for under $30 shipped. I used eBay, got it delivered in just 2 days! Exact link Homespot NFC Enabled Bluetooth Receiver Btadp 233 Authorized Dealer | eBay Very easy to setup. Works right with your bluetooth, pairs in just seconds. This picture i have explains it all. YOU WILL NEED A USB ADAPTER. Everything else comes included. Couldn't be any happier with it after i got it installed, sound quality is crystal clear. No more aux cable hanging from your center console! the only thing i don't like is the fact that every time i get in my car i have to go to the bluetooth option on my phone (iPhone 5s) and connect to the receiver (takes 10-15 seconds). Im just lazy lol. Now if you have your phone connected to your car, when you get a phone call the music will pause and when you end the call it starts right back up. Thats about it, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask! thank you.
Can you connect your phone to both car and homespot receiver bluetooths at the sametime?

It will connect to both. When you get a call, your music will stop and you will be able to answer the call with your steering controls and then when you end the call, the music will start up again. Works great, have the same set up!

Im using a Q50 rental, and it has BTA....I can honestly say I don't hear a difference between the BTA from the Q50 and this set up that I have on my 2008 G37....Now that I can compare it, I am very impressed with this DIY option

I bought the same unit as the OP and everything is easy to hook up but my sound quality is really bad.
You barley here any artist singing lyrics. Mostly you hear is the beat.
And a high pitch audio noise when it's turned up load.
I tried adjusting the bass, treble.....etc. nothing helps.
It's hooked to a 1.0amp USB adapter.
But the adapter has two. One for 3.1 and one for 1.0.
Maybe that's a problem????
