Wait, are the IPL side sills not just direct bolt-on on top of the existing sides? Do you have to remove the factory sides, then install the new IPL side sills?
HAHAHA yeah i know....that was when I was a noob. I JUST finished installing the IPL side sills today. The car looks sleeker with it. Thanks guys for the DIY
Yep, I got it done w/out pics. That 'grommet' clip was really pain to pull out. Had to tie a shoe lace around the pin part and pull with all my weight (rolled backwards and fell into a bush lol). I think you forgot to mention a step to remove the 'diffuser flap' that's attached at the end of the side skirt (or maybe i didn't have to remove it?) Thanks for the write up!
LOL! I used a vise grip to grab hold of that little white clip and thanks to my gym membership, I was able to pull it out.
Yes, I did forget to mention that flap.
For future reference, there is a little rubber flap at the rear wheel end of the side skirt. I think it's held by a pull out clip.
Just installed my brother's skirts and took us no more than 30 mins. to do.
anyone have pics of the clips? the ones that WILL break when you pull off the sides. i bought my IPL sides second hand and it didnt include those clips just bolts. OR better yet, are they the same clips that the front bumper uses to hold it on?
This is easier than changing your own oil. You'll break clips like everyone said unless you get lucky. Enycee they are not the same clips that are on the front bumper.
