Please feel free to add your insight any time, much appreciated

sorry to bring old thread back but on the website to order the vinyl, you ordered 12ft x 5ft(60") + sedan (i have a sedan)? the total was about $630. is that correct?

The amount you need is just 1ft x 5 ft, on the scroll down list it should be right below the 1x1 sample for a total of about $17. If you want extra to do the spoiler and to allow for any mess-ups you can order the 2x5 ft piece.

That 4dr sedan price was to wrap your whole car

Lol 5x12... I should have bought the 5x2 as I'm doing the whole thing over. I did it in Satin and it looks awesome. Some people have done it without tint--I highly recommend getting tint with this wrap, it looks clean and complete.

Thanks for this. Gonna be going through with this DIY sometime next week. Just some questions, is the exacto knife necessary or could I get away with a Sheetrock knife with fresh blades? And I only heat it when I wanna stretch/mold it around curves?

What would be a good color to wrap window trim of a liquid platinum sedan? Planning on doing gloss black on the grille should I go with gloss black as well for the window trim, and probably the spoiler too since its chrome? Any ideas what would look good I might go with black wheels in the future so maybe I should wrap window trim gloss black, gloss black spoiler, glad back grille, gloss black emblems?

I have a liquid platinum sedan and plan on doing the grill, window trim, and chrome in the trunk spoiler in gloss black. Have the vinyl on the way right now.

Maybe gonna try out the rear lower valence too if I have extra, if not, I'll just buy Bat's overlay for it.

Is it necessary to de chrome? So I called this small business with good reviews and I got a quote and it includes de chroming everything and Vinyl wrapping gloss black including grille, all four emblems, chrome spoiler, all window trims for 500 and he is willing to work on the price with me. Don't know if de chroming is an advantage or a must? Pros and cons and what do you think of price?

Ricio, I'd go w/ gloss black, that's what your door center pillars are wrapped with from the factory so you'll get a good match
I'd also recommend doing the window trim on your own, it's a great "first" project to learn how to work with vinyl, and if you do well with that then move on to other pieces. The window trim if you DIY will cost about $25. I'd watch a few youtube vinyl wrap videos if you want to try wrapping the grill just to get an idea of what to expect. It's not hard once you get the hang of it, I've done a few grills, rear valance, wheels, interior trim pieces, etc so if this old guy can do it so can you.

Finally got around to doing this mod along with the whole front grill and rear lip spoiler.

Thanks for the DIY, the measurements were spot on and really required very little trimming. Only sections A and E were the "trickiest" but I started with A and E was very easy after.

One thing I'd recommend is to leave your windows open, makes it easier for tucking the vinyl underneath the rubber since there less pressure on it.
