@OP!

tell me if this is right or wrong. did you drill a tiny hole on your clear shroud to run the wires into the projector so the leds can be outside on the shroud? at first glance i said to myself "this guy got some skills" drilling a square hole on that tiny shroud but looking at it further it seems like you only drilled a tiny hole just to run the wires back inside and the actual led is glued on. is that correct?

Wait! Don't drill holes!!! I'll take some close up's and show you guys how I did it. My "wired LEDs" came with sticky tape on the back. I just stuck them on. I was thinking about glue (even bought some)..but the double sided tape works just fine. There's perfect placement for the LED's that is hard to see unless the headlight is apart.
Give me a few....I'll return with pics.

i've been using 8mm leds by drilling into the clear shroud and gluing them. seems like your way is more effective, faster and less headaches and i may use your route.

I actually bought another headlight and tore it apart just to see how hard it was going to be. The headlight I bought was from an 08 so it was a little bit different than my 2011. Same process though. I actually drilled into the reflector strip and attempted to install regular LED's. Big pain in the ***. That's why I didn't install LED's in the strip area like 180 does. I'd like to open them up and go all gloss black and attempt the strip LEDs.

As far as the projector area, the LED's I used are flat, I believe they are called SMD LED's. Either way they fit perfect as you can see in the pic's. I've put on about 2000 miles on the car and everything works fit. I've driven in the rain a few times and washed my car numerous times and there is no build up inside my headlights.

Hope this helps.. . .

I would be willing to install these LED's or have the interior pieces painted for anyone who is interested. LED's come in all colors..
thanks
