Nice write-up. I'll have to do this some time and focus more on hiding the wires or using black ones. Seeing colored wires "peek" out at random spots looks ugly and inconsistent. That's just my opinion.

Thanks a bunch for the DIY AZg37! I followed ur instructions and 2 10mm socket and 2 wire cutters later.. Everything came out super! The car feels a lot different, throttle is very responsive!
Thanks again! Appreciate u taking time to put all this together.

I installed this grounding kit tonight. Great write up and directions. Very easy to follow and easy to install. Thanks for taking the time to do this. As for noticeable changes, I was not able to tell. I have the Bose sound system in my car, not sure if that matters or not. After the install my windows would go down and stay every time I opened the car door. Easy fix for that is to reset the windows. Roll them all the way down, and then roll them up holding the button for five seconds after they are up.

No sure if I bought the right materials(from home depot), the 8 gauge wire is stiff an has really thick inner cooper wires, the 4 gauge ring terminal has larger ring than the 8 gauge ringer terminal. Do you think they're going to work?

The wire I used after doing the research was speaker wire. Also make sure that the wire you buy is oxygen free wire. The terminals you bought look like they should work. I bought the wire off of ebay being I could not find the wire local without buying it in an amp kit. The wire shipped was less than $15. Hope this helps.

The wire from Home Depot you bought is the wrong stuff. Would it work? Probably...but you'd probably get a lot of corrosion at your ring terminals.

Go to a car audio store and buy some 8g amp grounding wire. It's O2 free and way more pliable.

Just curious, what are the difference between this kit and black betty's? I know there is one less wire, significant?

The grounding wires that I used to make were not run in sequence like this, they were each separate wires rather than a daisy chain. Aesthetics. Most of my sets that I sold were 4 gauge wire. My sets had wires directly to both throttle bodies.

Hey Black Betty,
I'd be interested in the stuff for this kit.

I received parts from black betty, great stuff. Thanks for the extra ring terminals, they saved me. I installed them last night, I had to reset the windows afterward, no big deal. Test drove the car as well, however the road condition isn't that great right now, so I have to experiment a little bit more. I did feel that throttle lag has been improved but not so much that I can say wow right now, time will tell. For the $ money spent, I would do it again.

I did have to shorten the driver side wires, so measure before you cut to make sure a tight fit. I didn't want to have wires hanging lose.

Couple wires are close to the engine body which can get pretty hot, I am worried that if they will melt, although I have CF sleeve for the wires.
