Hood Release not releasing after Painting Grille
Just finished painting my wife's grille (she is g37gal). It looks great, unfortunately now only the drivers side hood release is functioning. Are these things electronic and perhaps I knocked a wire connection out?
Most importantly, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the hood open? I'm going to assume I need to get under the car and remove some panels so that I can get up to the hood release from under the car?
Help!

after I painted the grille my hood got stuck too. I don't think it has anything to do with electronics it's more mechanics: you have to try and fit your finger under the latch to release the hood. mine was stuck because i replaced the radiator cover incorrectly. good luck

I think you may have misunderstood my problem. There are two latches that get released when you pull the hood release switch. One on the drivers side and one on the passengers side. The one on the passenger side isn't releasing. I can get to the center hood release latch if I want by pulling up a bit harder than I'd like, but that doesn't help me open the hood if the passenger side latch never got released when I pulled the switch in the car.

it is absolutely nothing electronic. there are no electronics associated with the hood. if you removed the radiator cover then all you did was pinch the cable for the release when you replaced it. as soon as you can get the hood open, take the radiator cover off and redo it and just be more careful this time
