Great write up! I'm going to try it through the wheel well also. I'll see how it goes.

Is the rubber garmet enough to keep moisture out. How does it stay against the cap to keep moisture out.

I did it different, i routed the stock wires through the side of the grommet instead of down the middle. Then i just coated the sides in auto sealant, but i think the grommet will be enough without the sealant.

Hey I have DRLs and I was wondering, if I remove the DRL fuse and I turn on my fogs in the daytime, will they come on? If I understood correctly, the DRLs won't work since the lower voltage won't be able to power the hids?

Do you have more details on your installation and do you think it will work with the fog light controller module?

How do you keep the fog lamps on only and not the head lamps too?
For me, in order for me to turn on the fog lamps the head lamps remain on as well. I want to be able to just have the fog lamp on like the OP.

Light kit for 2009 G37xS sedan

I'm looking for a good replacement light kit for my 2009 G37xS Sedan. Not couple...Sedan. I am not sure if the lights are the same - but this vehicle has the integrated fog light which sucks - they are part of the light housing, and not separate and in the front air dam like they should be...
Oh well - what can you do? anyone have any ideas?
I'd like to get more powerful fogs and possibly move them (not necessary) - but also have seen some very interesting LED light kits that look awesome - but mostly only for the couple

anything out there for the 2009 G sedan?

Thanks!

Hey guys, sorry to revive a dead thread but I could use a little help. I just recently went to upgrade my fog lights to HID's. If you look at the first picture on page one of this thread, where do the spade connectors attach? I am pretty sure the power wire is attached to the factory wire coming off of the factory bulb. Is this right? The factory ground is attached to the metal part beside the bulb. Do I pull that off and attach the ground wire from the kit to it? Thanks in advance for your help!

Smile Important detail needed ..

Hi Everyone , well i've been staring at this for a while and have finally decided to pull the trigger can someone please advise how the DRL portion works

my fog lights are integrated into my headlight .... which are also used as my DRL's , by changing my stock setup to a HID balast bulb H1 setup will my car have issues running my lights as DRL's ......

From my understand the fluctuation of voltage only occurs if you actual low beam is used as a DRL but the fog lights i dont believe so ....

Can someone please clarify ?

Thank You

So I've already done the install but I'm having a hard time getting the right light to turn on. It's usually a hit or a miss to get both running at the same time and sometimes I have to switch the fogs on and off to try to get it on.
