Next disconnect the wire harness from the switch and compress the ignition sides to release the ignition from the front panel
That's from the 370z.com link... Try tilting the steering wheel all the way up and out... reach back and feel for the clips on either side of the button housing... try to squeeze them if you can so you can pop the button out.

park your car outside on a hot day to make the plastic more pliable. and press out like youve never pressed out before....i think its glued or something cuz now that i did it once...the button comes out much easier.

you still havent been able to get it on? its not that hard dude. the entire assembly is replaced by the red button assembly. you dont have to take anything off of the new one.

its plug and play. 1) pop out the old one 2) disconnect 3) put the red one in 4) connect.

The problem is u say pop it out. The button has to come out of the sleeve with the chrome ring.

yea...all of that should come out with it. if you can only get a little bit out, or one side, then put a flathead on that side and try to guide it around the ring.

i suggest you let your car sit outside for a while to let the plastics become softer.

Well my friend's dealer won't get my button for another few days or so. I don't care. It'll only cost me $35.
