Optima Red Top doesn't fit??
Just bought an Optima Red Top 75/35 but the posts are too far back and cables not long enough. Anyone else out there with the same issue?
I didn't even try to install it and I know you can't turn it around so that Positive Terminal can be hooked to negative cable, etc.

Yeah, it's the one that's supposed to fit, but doesn't. Just returned it with no problems. The clerk said that Optima started redesigning the red tops recently, this could have been one of them. Back to the hunt for a new battery

i had a dry cell once in my previous car....honestly, i didn't like it too much in terms of performance....compared to the oem battery, it felt like there wasn't enough power and umph to crank the starter....and i also had a full system including 2 12" subs and a 1 farad cap, etc etc....and i dunno, it just felt....lacking
i did end up selling the red top and replaced it with just a regular interstate battery (same company that makes optima), and it felt soooo much better....just my experience, but everyone's might be different....

Thanks for the input. Interstate is on my list and luckily they have a retail store out here. I'll give them a shot, hopefully the terminals aren't too far back this time! Ha!
