There's barely any room to do it through the radiator cover, I suggest going through Igor's DIY just to remove the bumper (do not remove the entire thing, just leave it hanging on the lower clips)
They should be visible from there, I can't remember which wrench I used, 10-12mm one maybe can't recall and a flathead to loosen the clips that hold the filter. Wiggle them arround to have them taken out then use an air blower from inside the filter and outside to clean that thing, you should be set. I didn't oil mine though.
Hope that helps

Instructions to clean the filters would be same as doing a front grill removal. Once the grill is removed, removed the 2 cone fiters, clean them, dry them, oil them, then try again, and finally reinstall them.. VOULA!

You can either remove the grille, or just take off the radiator cover then take them out from the top and wash/reoil them.
That being said, unless you live in a VERY dusty area, they only need to be cleaned every 50,000 miles (that's the minimum too...straight from Stillen)

Bringing this guy from the dead!
Could use some more insight. I am installing mine this week but will be good to know if I can take out the filters without droping the bumper. Ill make sure to make the clamps reachable from the top
