Yeah, I just hit it with a scotchbrite pad and it worked really well.

Hmm.. I'll see what I can do about the clear. I don't know if any shops are gonna be open tomorrow. And I'm leaving town monday afternoon or tuesday. Would it be okay to wait for a week or 2 to clear it?

you're gonna need to scuff the base and re-apply when you are ready to clear. base needs to be cleared usually within a few few hours for base clear. spray can stuff recommends that you not wait more than 24 hours to finish coat.

Well I decided to give the clear a try myself last night and I must say, it came out damn near perfect. I did 5 coats and it is nice and glossy and very smooth to the touch. Here's some picks in this thread.
