^^You're in the wrong thread - review this https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...-gear-oil.html

And yes, for your region (pacific NW) 75w140 would be too thick IMO.

Read the entire thread and looks like MT85 is the way to go? I live in San Diego and don't see a lot of cold here. I have an amsoil membership that is expiring soon and would like to use it if possible for the MT fluid. Also, the 09 vert FSM calls out for 3 quarts. What's the extra 4 oz for?

On a level surface I've always filled it til it starts over flowing... Wait until stops, then reinstall the plug. It did take a bit more than 3 iirc.

Just changed my MT oil. I used Redline MTF and IMO the car seems to shift smoother. I used the Harbor Freight syphone pump. Worked great, no runs, drips or errors. I had 32K on the Nissan MTF oil. Definitely needed changing..

^^Funnel and hose works just as well with less effort. Used this both for the diff and trans last time. Best to do both on a hot day (fluid flows more easily).

Thanks, I'll have to remember that. Didn't consider gravity filling it from the top.
