Just wanted to post my first first modz is the weightedi nrg shifter ****. The stock **** seemed very hard to removed but what I do was wet and microfiber cloth slightly damp. Wrap it around the shifter **** and then I begun spinning counter clockwise left rotation toward the driver side if removing it sitting on pasenger side. If your on driver side simply rotate it toward you in driver seat. Hopes this helps I didn't have to remove cut or needed no extra hands to help but I do understand what some are going thru. Because on my 350z in had to remove the whole shifter as myshifter **** was stuck to the shifter for a long time before I did the st mod.

I should've read this first. 1 1/2 hr later and my shift **** has fully peeled thanks to the damp towel suggestion above, my right hand is blistering up, I'm drenched in sweat and I still haven't got it off. I got it turned twice around but seems like the shifter was just slipping through the vice. I'm gonna have the dealer take it off. This is not a DIY for me.

Well I misspoke. Success! I had to go get some more tools from harbor freight but the bugger finally came off. Had a gob of blue locktite in it. Figures.
