but im looking for a tint rather than fully blacking them out.. like how a overlay would look like.. so how would you paint it that way?

Friend keeps on tell me I can paint mine, because my overlays are peeling now. (terrible installation horror story, not the products Fault) Than use paint thiner later if I need to remove it. Is that true?

you can remove the paint with acetone(nail polish remover) or just swap tails with someone when your lease is up, much easier.

Mine are painted as well. They look awesome!!! No haze or anything.. And you can do it to your liking. (how dark) and YES!!! you can remove it completely!!! Just have it sanded off till it's all red again, and have it clearcoated. LOOKS BRAND NEW. no need to buy new lights. I had a 330i where I did this. Traded it in for my G. Anyone in so cal (Valencia area near magic mountain) that wants thier lights professionally painted.. Pm me. I'm family friends with a guy who has a shop and he'll hook it up.

Tint Paint Shop

Hook it up man, im in canyon country. I got bats overlays, and the dude at this place called sun dimmers put it on, and he did a terrible job and scared me away from tint forever lol. Im really considering painting these. How much do they go for usually to be painted?

The shop is actually in canyon country off ruether! Lol and yeah it's hard to wrap tint on curves like lights have. This way, your lights are lightly scuffed, painted, clearcoated, and buffed like glass.. The guys name is Roy. His number is 661-755-8680. Call him, tell him you got his number from Cody and i told you he'll hook ot up lol to do your lights and ask for a quote. DO IT!! you'll love the way it comes out. I even just had him paint the bottom of my front bumper cuz of rock chips. Looks flawless. Also, look in my album at my front lights

Thanks a lot man, I will have to give him a call this weekend and schedule something for next month. Invested to much in the car this month haha. But I want to tape off the circles that give it a GTR look that I have right now. Thinking about just using the cut outs i have now and just tracing were the tape should be.
