I tried to change my stock HID lights to 6000k lights today and both of the new 6000k bulbs lit up for a second then went off. I put on my stock HID lights and those turned on right away.
Any suggestions as to what happened? possible solutions?

This is a great D.I.Y write-up but my problem is how exactly do I take the wheel well off? I popped out the 3 clips and the wheel well did get loose but I just can't get it to come off. I didn't want to use too much force since it's plastic after all. The clips I popped off are the ones in the center, near the suspension, and right above the tires. Is there a certain way I have to adjust the wheel well for it to peel back or am I missing something?

I just did this tonight to replace my city/parking lights with 6,000 K LEDs so they would match the headlight color.
I don't think I could have figured this out without this DIY. Holy crap it's tight in there! It's like trying to work inside a coffee can.
On the passenger side, I couldn't get a good enough grip on the plastic tab to twist it out because the windshield washer fill tube was in the way. It's pretty easy to remove though:
1. Open hood, locate the washer fluid neck. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the black clip a 1/4 or 1/2 turn. Then pop it out the same way that you do the wheel well fasteners. Just pop it out of the metal bracket; you don't have to remove the clip from the tube at all.
2. The fill tube is just a friction fit into the washer fluid tank. Wiggle and twist the fill tube and it will come out with just a little effort.
As for Mike888's question about the wheel well plastic: I thought it would be a pretty stiff material, but it's not. It will bend easily and very far without breaking.
There are one or two clips (which you do NOT remove) that are basically slots that hold the edge of the wheel well shell in place. Find the seam where the nose and fender meet, then go up the wheel opening about 5 inches to get to the first clip. Push the wheel well towards the center of the car and you will hear a "pop" when the clip lets go. To put the shell back in, line it up with the clips and then pull the shell towards you, and you will hear the "pop" again as the clip engages. There are little flat spots molded into the shell that you can pull on with your fingers to do this.

I need to replace my headlight lamps on a 2010 G37 Sedan. I have factory lamps and only one side is out. I just wanted to confirm if the stock temperature color is 4300k and if replacing only one would result in the same brightness as the one working right now. Would replacing it with a 6000k create much disparity with the still working lamp?

does anyone know how i can take the actual parking light bulb out after i pop it out of the housing? i went through the top by taking out my intakes and it was impossible for me to pull the bulb itself out after getting it out of the housing. its as if its clamped down or something. can anyone help please!
