Great mod anyone out there without a LSD that ever plans to track or drag their G!! You sedan guys that that track your car should definitely consider this!

There's a post in the FI section where a sedan guy is considering a supercharger but even with his current bolt-ons he sometimes gets a little squirly when a tire breaks loose... http://www.g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93455

I have a 5AT. I may be interested before I go FI. Is this something that can be installed yourself? I was looking at the service manual it seems to be a just a matter of 18 bolts; 6 per flange, 2 holding up the differential, and 4 connecting to the driveshaft.

It looks like the bolts and washers need to be replaced. I guess those need to bought at the dealer.

Is it that easy? No other spacers needed between the differential and drive shaft?

It is a bolt up replacement for you stock pumpkin. There is 4 bolts on your drive shaft and 6 on each side flange. It can be done with tools in your garage. I would replace the bolts they are in stock at all dealers.

Hey no problem. I don't think most people with the 5AT coupe or Sedan realize what a LSD can do for performance when you are tracking, autocrossing, or dragging your G.

If anyone else is looking for one, you can place somewhat of a "want ad" at junkyards to notify you when a wrecked Z or 6MT G comes in. Otherwise they are not going to be so easy to come by, especially at a discounted price.

I wish I had jumped on this earlier. Even a salvaged differential is ~$350-$450, and I'm not even sure if it comes with stubs. $300 was a bargain.

Quick! Walkert end the auction early!!! (then you don't have to worry about shipping that beast!)

Then Roland will be on basically equal footing when we are circling Motorsport Ranch

Yeah, I'm almost done polishing the supercharger parts (I've been taking my time). I have two pipes left to polish. The sides of the intercooler were really hard to polish since they are quite rough to begin with. It's no wonder hyperlitesmu was having trouble polishing the plenum since it is the same consistency.
