I just got my car back from the dealership because I had a really bad squeak coming my from my gauge cluster and to my surprise realized that they scratched the rubber finish dash material right next to the volume ***. its lighter in color and easily noticeable and when I run my finger on it it feels rough like its sticky or something. i tried everything to clean it but no use. what can i do to make it evenly colored as it stands out like a sore thumb now.

 

Why should you take on a repair for something they caused. Take it back and have them fix it. Do it early on or they will never agree that it was caused by them. Good luck.

Take it back and have them fix it ASAP. I had this happen to me a couple of months ago. I went in for an oil change and on the way home I noticed a scratch/gash on my driver side door panel. I called the manager and spoke to him directly about the issue. I brought my car back to them a few days later and they fixed it at their expense.

joeyz12, I learned this hard lesson too many times. When you know the service people caused the problem you HAVE TO bring it to their attention immediately. 9 times out of 10 the person who did it was waiting for you to notice it. Bring it back and they fix it everyone is happy. Wait because you are fearful and you will PAY PAY PAY for the mistake they made.
