I have a brand new 2012 G37s and the front quarter panel is very rough.
I was planning on run through the Meguiar's clay/ultimate compound/polish/wax procedure. Should I bring it to the dealer to see what they can do first or just do it right myself?

 

Pics would help. If the finish on the front fender is noticeably worse than any other panel on your car than most likely it was refinished before you bought it. It most likely sustained lot damage and they had a company come in and do a "quick fix" on your fender...or it may be some tree sap or something simple like that. Post up pics for a better assessment.

 

Thanks for the update. Will do a wash and then post pics today. Got it at 4 miles with the plastic still on.

Oh yeah, planning to do that this weekend. Wash > Clay > Wash > DA Polish > DA Wax > Hand Wax. Going to use Meguiars this time around. Was going to get some Chemical Guys Black Light and V7 Sealant but held off this time around.
