Clear Bra

I have a Black 2012 G37 Journey Sedan with about 2K miles. I was looking into a clear bra by 3M vs a vinly bra. Anyone have experience with either one.

I have a 09 G37xS sedan with a VentureShield clear bra on it (I believe 3M owns VentureShield now). I'm very happy with it and it has saved my car from several rock chips. My installer did a great job and neighbors have complemented me on how invisible it unless your at just the right angle. It will be going on any cars I buy in the future.

I found a few of the pics I took the day I had mine installed. I thought you might like to see it on an OB sedan.
I have it covering the entire front bumper, front fenders, half hood, mirrors, trunk ledge and a small piece on the trunk where I always grab it to lift open.
I didn't do this on my OB 07G35X and regretted it within a few months. With this one I had it installed ASAP.

Thanks for the replies. Can you share what you paid including installation. I am in Atlanta, Ga. My dealer is offering the service and I should be getting details as to the product they use and the cost.

Cover the entire hood & fenders or don't bother. Half of my hood and fenders are chipped like the dark of the moon.

Does anyone have pictures after 30k+ miles? How does the bra hold up and does the paint fade differently under the bra?

I paid $500+tax, in Canada.
As I mentioned, entire front bumper, front fenders, half hood, mirrors, trunk ledge and a small piece on the trunk where I always grab it to lift open.

I guess it depends where and how you're driving. I never driver on unpaved roads and I never tailgate other vehicles.

I knew that the clear bra I have would be more than enough. I had an 07G35X for four years and saw where it had chipped. I made sure that those areas are covered on the new G. Half hood is more than enough for me.

I used some extra Venture Shield the installer gave me and put a rectangular patch on the trunk (under INFINITI) and a strip along the ledge. It's an area my kids frequently bump with their hockey bags.
I snapped a couple pics. It rained hard last night so the rear is pretty dirty. The dust highlights the edges of the VS. When it's clean you can't see it at all.

Wow, that retaining wall reflection in the first pic really makes for an odd illusion!

ABSOLUTELY DO IT!!! I did the entire hood, front fenders, lights, mirrors, A pillars and a small area on the back bumper (where most people will drag suitcases loading and unloading them) with Ventureshield. Nobody has noticed it until I tell them it is there. I paid around $1600 and it is worth every penny!!! I just turned 10k of mostly highway driving and I do not have a single chip or ding.
