I got my last car with the plastic still on it and didn't let them touch anything. No wash nothing. A lot of the plastic is still on the car. My wife keeps wanting me to remove it off the kick plates lol

Thanks for the tips, soundmike. If the odor persists I will try some or all of those innovative techniques.

I was thinking that the $150 or so that a PC costs is much less than I'll pay to take it to a "pro," and I will always have it for future applications. I may give it a go. I still think it's shameful that I need to be concerned about some of this with a car that's only been in my possession for a day.

lol before i had a G and actually cared about my paint finish i would love going to the dealership and getting a free car wash....never again.
