What the hell is on my paint!

Alright so I washed my car on christmas day and then let it sit in my garage for a good 2 weeks till I found out that all these spots were appearing on my paint. I brought it to a detailing place to have them take a look at it and they couldn't figure it out what it was, so they hand waxed the car down and were able to get some of the spots out. Another two weeks have passed and it seems like they are reappearing I know that the paint on our cars is horrible, but I mean come on Has anyone else experienced anything like this and is there a anyway to take these spots out? Thanks

Could it be the self healing paint acting up (oh wait, did dropped that didn't they)? Just looking at the pics is kind of hard to tell what it is really, to me it looks like a bunch of tree sap droplets. Of course that's not possible if it was stored in the garage for 2 weeks. Is the surface of the paint rough and what is stored in your garage?

did you try using a clay bar first, then polishing it before applying the wax?
try the above and it should be good

Looks like some sort of oil overspray? Garage door opener slinging something from the chain, been using WD40, etc. ??

i had the garage door grease issue. my detailer was like "WTF is this ****" really had to remove too. I have since removed all the lubrication from the track and chain and replaced with dry lubricating graphite powder. what does get on the car does not embed into the paint.

I don't know that the paint on MY car is horrible - quite a reckless generalization.

My 2011 has the self-healing clearcoat.

Does look like oil splatter. Clay bar and a waxing should take care of it.

The wax they put on originally most likely just covered it up or they removed some with physical force of the applicator as waxes generally don't have any cleaning properties. As for the removal I would start with a wash and then use a fine grade clay bar and see if that removes the build up. If not I would move up to a medium grade bar which is perfect for paint and clear coat over spray removal (links below to both). If that doesn't work I might try and adhesive remover like Stoner Tarminator or the 3M version. If that doesn't work I'd probably try using a polish on it like the Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205 and the Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound M105 if needed. I would imagine that would work but if not post some more pics and provide us with an update.

DI Packages DI Gentle Fine Grade Clay Bar 100g & Clay Lube
DI Packages DI Medium Grade Clay Bar 100g & Clay Lube

Good luck!
