HELP! please? ruined car paint i think

I thought i picked up a clean towel from my garage but it was a dirty one. After soaking it in water and wiping it on my car and window i noticed that theres little white dots on the car paint/window. Its little rough dots like micro dots and i try to wipe it off but it didn't. I applied pressure on the spot with my finger on the window only some of it would come off. I kind of used my nail too to like scrap it off but this is gonna be a disaster! it's like all over half my car. I didn't notice it til it was on half of it. It's like really hard to get out. I don't know what exactly it is but it looks like dust but its not. More information was when i was cleaning the soap/water dried up kind of whitish. I don't know what to do and i'm freaking out. should i clay bar?

I gathered info and it can be any of these following products

Leather cleaner
Rainx window cleaner?

I don't think it was used to wipe the tires either it would have been super dirty. The towel looked clean when i picked it up

sorry for the horrible grammar i'm just freaking out!

I would try to wash, then clay. If needed use a mild polish. If the mild polish doesn't work use a little more agressive polish until you get it. Just work on one spot 'till you get it right then do the rest. Finish up with a good sealant or wax.

Pics would help.

First I'd try to claybar.
If that doesn't work, you might want to try a vinegar solution, and see if that takes it off.

What water were you soaking it in? What kind of towel? Are you sure it wasn't there before, and washing it just showed them more? Sounds more like tree sap, or something similar, that fell on to your car and you're just finding it.

woke up this morning and did the detailing work for the car. the trunk + rear window + rear bumper took almost 3 hours to clay bar all that white micro dots out :O the side doors and front was faster because it wasn't covered in it as much or at all. overall

car wash + clay + polish + wax took exactly 7 hours.

heres a pic i took with my macbook i don't have a camera and i left my iPhone at my friends house.

bad quality but thanks for all the help guys.
