Exclamation Summer Detailing

alright guys im planning a full detail of my car later in July. I used the 20% off coupon from DI and purchased the following after much research.

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (with Glaze fillers)
Chemical Guys Jetseal 109
P21S 100% Carnauba Wax
Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer

Obviously I will clay bar the car prior to starting however I just wanted to know what I should use FIRST on the car and then so on. The car is is great condition, it was last detailed in April. Also a few words of advice would greatly be appreciated.

Use them in the order you have them listed in. If possible, wait a full day (minimum12 hours) between the glaze, sealant, and wax. If your car has scratches or swirls, it's really important to polish it first, it makes a world of difference.

Wash --> Clay --> Wash again --> polish --> glaze --> sealant 2x --> wax 2x

Wait 12 hours between applying wax to the sealant (if desired)

In the ^ process...make sure you wash after polishing. Otherwise the advice given is great stuff!

Give us a review of the blackfire glaze. Never used it...but love their products.

Thank you for the purchase! I would use them in this order:

Wash/Dry
Clay
Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
Chemical Guys Jetseal 109
P21S 100% Carnauba Wax
Dodo Juice Red Mist - use at the very end or use it for maintenance

A final wash after using an abrasive polish is to make sure that all oils and polishing residue has been removed and you have a pristine surface for the glaze or sealant or wax to bond to. Some wipe very well with a soft MF towel and simply use a good detail spray or surface prep solution like Menzerna Top Inspection or Meguiar's Final Inspection to make sure the surface is prepped.

Yup...BB has it. Gotta get that gunk off. I use an IPA wipedown during the polish to inspect, but always finish with an ONR wash. Its just another reason I love ONR. Great for quick easy washes after clay, polish, etc.

would any car wash shampoo be suffice, for instance all I have are the CG citrus wash and gloss and CG maxi suds. Are either of those good for the wash?

i dont wash after polishing either. if yours hardcore you can use a diluted alcohol soultion solution to remove the oils (cant remember the mix). Lots of polishes have fillers to fill imperfections, but thats essentially what a glaze does as well, so if your using a glaze theres no need to clean the paint because your adding similar oils again. But if your going straight to a wax it wouldnt hurt
