Hand Wash Using Soft Brush

Hand Wash Using Soft Brush
Hello all,
The carwash near where I work in North Haven, CT offers a hand wash option rather than putting the car down the rails. They do a good job, it's quick and only costs me $20. The only issue I have is that they wash the car with a combination of high pressure hand sprayers (no issue with that) and then scrub the car using a soft brush rather than with a microfiber mitt of some sort.
My question is are those hand held soft brushes safe on the paint finish or will they scratch and swirl?
When I wash the car I use a lamb skin mitt on the upper portions of the car and a microfiber scrubber type mitt for the bumpers, wheels and lower rocker panels. The issue is I don't always have 90 minutes to do it myself and am hoping this car wash is a good alternative.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend!
